Front-collision warning to protect against rear-end collisions uses a camera in the windscreen of your BMW and, depending on the equipment of your BMW, an additional radar system. The camera-based driver assistance system warns you of a collision with other vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians in a speed range of 85 - 250 km/h and preconditions the brakes. The integrated Brake Assist performs an active brake intervention up to maximum deceleration in a speed range of 5 - 85 km/h. If your BMW also has a radar system, your BMW brakes up to a speed of 210 km/h and from 210 km/h there is a brake jerk.
