Dr. Jing Zhang (
https://www.ics.uci.edu/~jingz31/) invites highly-motivated students to collaborate with her on cut-edging interdisciplinary research. Ph.D. students are expected to develop interpretable deep learning models and work on emerging biomedical big data mining. Biomedicine domain knowledge is desired but not required. All majors with strong quantitative skills, especially machine learning (e.g. deep neural network), are welcomed. Dr. Zhang has published extensively in the 1st-tier computer science conferences (e.g. ISMB) and top biomedical journals. It is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with many other labs to do highly-impactful research projects.
