General Summary:
Qualcomm AI Research is looking for world-class algorithms
engineers in general domain machine learning, especially deep learning,
generative AI, LLM, LVM. Come join a high-caliber team of engineers building
advanced machine learning technology, best-in-class solutions, and user
friendly model optimization tools such as Qualcomm Innovation Center’s AI
Model Efficiency Toolkit (
https://github.com/quic/aimet) to
enable state-of-the-art networks to run on devices with limited power, memory,
and computation. Members of our team enjoy the opportunity to participate in
cutting edge research while simultaneously contributing technology that will be
deployed worldwide in our industry-leading devices. You will be part of a
multi-disciplinary talented team working on device generative AI optimization.
Collaborate in a cross-functional environment spanning hardware, software and systems. See your design in action on industry-leading chips embedded in the
next generation of smartphones, autonomous vehicles, robotics, and IOT devices.
The R&D work responsibility for this position focuses on the following
1. Algorithms research and development in the area of Generative AI, e.g., LVM, LLM, Multi-modality
2. Advanced algorithms research and development for language and vision generative models, diffusion procedure, training, understanding of visions.
3. Model compression, lossy or lossless, structural and neural search.
Summarize research findings in high-quality paper and/or patent submissions.
4. Implement the system using off-the-shelf building blocks for localization, mapping, and communication, extending them where needed.
5. Generative AI Systems prototyping. Apply solutions toward systems innovations for model efficiency advancement on device as well as in the cloud.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. student or highly
qualified M.S. student in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or related fields.
2. Experience on generative
model, e,g, LVM, LLM or multi-modality model.
3. Experience with deep
learning frameworks such as PyTorch
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with VLMs and their applications in scene understanding.
2.Knowledge of semantic
mapping and localization techniques.
3.Experiences for paper
publication, or contributions to open source projects.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Internship Duration:
1. Minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension and roll-over.
