FreeWheel is hiring a Beijing based Principle Software Engineer on System Test and Automation. As a member of FreeWheel Engineering Productivity Team and part of the global System Test team, to continuously improve product quality, engineering efficiency and productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
oWork closely with business, product management and development teams to get deep understanding on product strategies, feature designs and product architecture
oParticipate in product design review, architecture review, integration and test readiness reviews
oDesign and drive complex testing program; establish methods and techniques, plan tests, develop test requirements, write test procedures and reports, and conduct tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems
oLead planning, estimation and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies; Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of automated (continuous) testing environments
oDevelop and maintain end to end business oriented automation test suites; continuously execute them according to fast paced release cycle
oEffectively communicate status to stake holders and proactively locate and address concerns
oLead and mentor junior engineers
Qualification
o8+ years demonstrated full cycle software development and testing experience with proven track record
oComputer Science related major with master degree preferred
oStrong reading and writing skills in English; fluent speaking English is required
oExcellent learning ability, smart, logical thinking and meticulous; enjoy exploring new products and technology
oSelf-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight
oDemonstrate deep understanding of testing methodologies, test automation and software development principles
oSolid knowledge and experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
oStrong knowledge of cloud environments and experience with AWS infrastructure and development is preferred
oStrong coding skills with OO programming languages, Python, Groovy or Go preferred
oProficient with at least one of the main stream testing frameworks, like Junit or PyTest
