Data Domain from Dell EMC is the worldwide market leader for data protection storage and services. IDC's latest report on Purpose Built Backup Appliances (PBBA) shows that Dell-EMC DataDomain leads the market with above 60% market share. Data Domain products are designed to protect customer’s data across consumption models no matter where the data lives from on premise to born in the cloud.  

We are seeking a well performed and experienced software engineer to work in the IO areas of Data Domain products with architectures of single/HA appliance, virtualization, cloud and scale-out.  The areas cover both data path and control path including Volume, RAID, SCSI middle layer, HBA drivers of SAS, NVRAM, Networking and Fiber Channel, disk drive and enclosure monitoring and management.   We offers a fast-paced, open and rewarding environment, which embraces diversity and innovation.  

Job Responsibilities:

Be in an Agile Scrum Team, work together with Product Owner and other scrum team members to understand and define product backlogs in IO areas;
Follow Scrum Sprint cycle to complete various activities and tasks corresponding to IO component(s) within a Sprint
Implement new features or enhancements to meet product release schedules
Write unit test or test automation according to development needs
Drive necessary documentation(portion of architectural spec,  functional spec or other documents) from initial draft to finalization for the owned component(s)
Provide code reviews for other team members
Provide in-time technical supports for design issues reported from customer field or QA
Provide regular status updates, technical support or share information for technical leads and management team
Investigate new data protection technologies through PoC to help on maintain Data Domain’s leading product competitive strength  
Qualifications and factors for success:

BS/MS in computer science or related field, 3+ years of working experience with MS degree or 5+ years of experience with BS degree
Good expertise with computer system architecture, Linux IO stack,  kernel and device drivers
Strong system level programming and debugging skills in C and scripting
Good development experience in system-level software with Intel X86 architecture, meanwhile understand well on details of component level,  like device driver
Good knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas:   virtualization,   RAID, Volume, SSD,  SAN,  device driver, protocols(SAS, Fiber Channel, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI), converged or hyper-converged infrastructure, file system, or clustering etc.
Experience and understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
Highly motivated, strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English
Works well with cross-functional teams to drive entire product life cycle development
Willing to learn and share,  and a good team player
