About CDP:
CDP is an international non-profit organization that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Voted as the top climate re-search provider by investors and working with institutional investors with assets of US$106 trillion, we leverage power of investors and buyers to motivate companies to disclose and manage their environmen-tal impacts. Over 8,400 companies with about 50% of global market capitalization disclosed environmental data through CDP in 2019. This is in addition to the over 800 cities and 120 states and regions who dis-closed, making CDP’s platform one of the richest sources of information globally on how companies and governments are driving environmental change. CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project, is a founding member of the We Mean Business Coalition. Please visit www.cdp.net or follow us @CDP to find out more.
CDP officially entered China in 2012 and is committed to providing a unified reporting platform for Chinese companies to promote the development of green finance and low-carbon supply chain management in China, and to identify companies that excel in environmental protection. In 2019, the number of respond-ing companies exceeded 1100. At the same time, CDP actively cooperates with governments, financial institutions, academic institutions and other stakeholders in China. As a special member of China Green Finance Committee, CDP supports and participates in the research on series of important topics such as environmental information disclosure, responsible investment and risk analysis tools of listed companies. Previously, CDP’s experts supported the completion of the Green Procurement Guidelines, in which carbon market monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) and other indicators have been approved by the rele-vant ministries. CDP highly agrees with the General Secretary's development philosophy of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” and looks forward to sharing more international experience and integrating more local practices while working with partners to contribute to the development of China's green finance and eco-civilization.
