The Red Hat Software Quality Engineering team is looking for a Quality Engineer to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will focus on the testing for virtualization components and cover varios of popular technologies, including but not limited to kvm, qemu, libvirt, PIC/PCIe, CPU, memory, NUMA, SR-IOV, NFV , iSCSI, Ceph, NPIV, SeLinux, and also need to get familiar with OpenStack, oVirt, KubeVirt. As a Quality Engineer, your key responsibility includes creating test plans, researching new features, developing tests(both manual and auto), and bug verification, to ensure the functions work well in a virtualization environment and support the layered products well. You'll also perform acceptance, function, regression and integration testing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). This is an interesting and rewarding opportunity to develop innovative solutions to complex problems while working alongside some of the brightest engineers in the open source industry.
Primary Job Responsibilities：
* Perform virtualization feature research, design new tests and maintain test plan
* Develop automated test scripts and manual test cases
* Report, analyze, and track defects, communicate with stakeholders to reproduce and verify bugs, do retrospective and extend test scenarios
* Analyze the quality risk and refine the test strategy
* Contribute to upstream projects, include both autotest framework and virtualization components
* Constantly learn new things, practice in the project and share knowledge
Required Skills
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field, or relevant professional experience
* 2+ year(s) of experience and skills with Linux or Unix
* Familiarity with basic testing theory and methodologies
* Solid scripting skills and 1+ year(s) of experience with Bash, Python or C
* Ability to communicate technical issues in English
* Basic knowledge of operating system, network, storage and security
* Be good at the problem solving and critical thinking
* Ability to have initiatives and carry out the action plan
* Working experience with virtualization, container or cloud is a plus
* Contributions to open source projects is a plus
