Backend Software Engineer
Our Applications Engineering organization is responsible for building applications to support Tesla's rapid growth while providing an amazing customer experience. The mission of our team is to streamline business operations, decrease costs, improve customer experiences, and solve the engineering challenges from both development and support.
Our engineers are hands-on and encouraged to own their own projects, contribute to new ideas, and make an impact on the way that our company operates.
Responsibilities
o Design, develop and implement applications for Tesla customers on features like customer referral programs(Loot Box), Tesla.cn, and more
o Develop internal applications for sales and service or our financial platform
o Use .net framework, .net core and MS SQL / MySQL technology stack
o Responsible for applying operation break fixes and other proactive maintenance activities to keep the services up and running.
o Participate and determine root cause for service failure and support escalation.
o Design software architecture based on business requirements, strategy and priorities
o Promote software engineering best practices via code reviews, building tools and documentation
o Be nimble and react quickly to changing business conditions
o Leverage your existing skills while learning and implementing new, open-source technologies
o Work with product managers, content producers, QA engineers and release engineers to own your solution from development to production
Requirements
o BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent discipline
o Solid experience with the .NET platform, especially .Net Core
o Experience in MS SQL Server/MySQL and good knowledge in query optimization
o Expert knowledge of REST APIs
o Good unit testing and integration testing practices
o Exposure to Go, AngularJS/Angular 5+ and other open source technologies
o Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
o Agile/SCRUM Software Development Process experience
