Bing universalization fundamentals team is now building the modern foundation frameworks and features for Microsoft WebXT org including Search, Ads, News and Map, we seek a software engineer to accelerate our development work and deliveries, and make good contribution to Microsoft customer business growth! You will have the chance to be familiar with search engine E2E systems and algorithms and grow up as an expert for search and feeds products.
With collaboration always top of mind, you will work closely with peer developers, designers and partner teams to quickly generate and iterate on designs and then implement performant, high quality code. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior leaders to help define the overall architecture of the product. You can expect us to continually support your growth and always value your insights and contributions. Our goal is to not only build great products, but also great engineers who can deliver features to our customers which truly change their lives.
As a Software Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for:
1. Designing and implementing new software features, building powerful features to help search quality,
2. Thorough experimentation, evolving and improving existing features and designs,
3. Contributing to debugging and problem solving with the live service,
4. Collaborating with members of your team and partner teams,
5. Having fun, working in a diverse team of passionate professionals.
The below qualifications are required for this role:
1. 2+ years of experience developing in C#/C++, Java, PowerShell or Python,
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field,
3. Strong communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with a variety of people on other teams,
4. Passionate and self-motivated.
The below experiences and skillsets are not required for this role, but are related to the work we do on our team:
1. Experience with online distributed systems or distributed database,
2. Experience with Azure, AWS, Google cloud,
3. Experience with open source technology,
4. Experience working with big data processing or analysis.
