Job Description:
This person will work as part of a China-based software testing team in cooperation with the visualization software testing team in the United States. Provide testing of program code during development cycle of certain software products.

As a Software Development Tester at SAS, you will work closely with our development staff to perform software testing and validation while analyzing requirements and design specifications to develop test cases and user scenarios; you will do this while working in an Agile environment. The scope of your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to HTML5 common components in the commons library that are used in all SAS HTML5 clients and application. As part of this testing, you will work directly with all members of the development team. you will write complex automation tests for stress testing, multi-user (sharing) testing, complex permission scenarios. you will analyze and automate test cases and procedures, validate results, obtain debugging information for failed tests, maintain automated test programs and scripts, evaluate test coverage, and communicate testing results and status throughout the development cycle. you will join a global team of testers working in Beijing, Cary(United States), and Pune(India), on HTML5 commons libraries for desktop and mobile usage.
Responsibilities:
o Write test plan, provide schedules for testing tasks, running tests and review results for correctness
o Designs, develops, executes complex automation tests in both react standalone sample application and react version of SAS Drive and other SAS HTML5 products
o Designs, develops, executes automated stress testing, sharing content testing, and multi-user testing in both react standalone sample application and react version of SAS Drive,
o Designs, develops, executes full interactive and I18N testing in both react standalone sample application and react version of SAS Drive
o Designs, develops, executes, verifies, and analyzes test programs and procedures for other HTML5 Common Components functional/I18N/L10N and testing automation.
o Designs specific test applications to isolate software bugs; discriminates between legitimate defect and unrelated problems; Tracks specific bugs and verifies fixes.
o Documents system bugs and resolution of verified bugs and related hot fixes.
o Design, develop, integrate, maintain, and document testing tools.
o Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
o Rich experience in web application automation testing with Selenium or other automation testing frameworks, stress testing
o Rich experience in both functional and I18N common components testing software systems
o Good knowledge in HTML, JavaScript and network, proficiency in one of more of the following languages: C/C++, Java/C#, shell/Perl.
o Good interpersonal, writing, and problem-solving skills
o Strong communication, fluent in English and Chinese
o Good spoken and written English
o BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferences:
o Good knowledge of multiple operating systems, especially Unix/Linux
o More than 5 years’ experience on SAS products
