My adviser is recruiting a new Ph.D student.
Our lab is doing integrated biosensor. We are part of NSF Center for Wireless Integrated MicroSystems (WIMS) and Center for Nanostructured Biomimetric Interfaces (CNBI). You will have great chances of collaboration and access to cool resources.
This position is supported by an NSF funded project to create a micro-hotplate on a CMOS circuit chip with protein-modified electrode. Candidates with any of microfabrication, microfluidics, chemistry, biosensor or VLSI background are preferred.
My boss is a very nice person to work with. If you don't have EE background, you don't need to worry about the PhD qualify exam. He will give you extra time to prepare it.
