Multiple Positions Available at the School of MAE in NTU, Singapore (南洋理工)
Research positions leading to PhD degree and research positions leading to Master degree are currently available in Professor Yang's group in any of the following research areas:
1. Development of self-healing nanocomposites and coatings, including exploration of new self-healing chemistries and novel micro- and nanoencapsulation techniques, preparation of specimens and mechanical assessments of those materials.
2. Mechanics of single microcapsules and microspheres, constitutive relationship of microcapsules or nanocapsules filled polymeric materials.
Requirements:
1. The eligible candidates are expected to have a first-class or second-class upper Bachelor degree in chemistry, materials science and engineering, mechanics or a related area and/or a Master degree by research from a reputable university.
2. If the candidate does not have a TOFEL or GRE score, an English proficiency test and a technical test may be arranged together with an interview.

The PhD scholarship offers a monthly S$2000 initially. The PhD scholarship will be topped up to S$2500 per month after the candidate successfully passes the Oral Proposal Exam within two years. Detailed information regarding PhD research at Nanyang Technological University can be found at
