『141』憲問恥。子曰：「邦有道，穀；邦無道，穀，恥也。」
　　　　※：圣人论“耻”。
Hsien asked shame. The Zi said, "When principle prevails盛行 in a state, official salary; when without principle , official salary, shameful."

『142』子曰：「士而懷居，不足以為士矣！」
　　　　※：《說文》士，事也。《書·立政》庶常吉士。《禮·王制》天子之元士，諸侯之上士，中士，下士。
　　　　※：邦有道，志在四方；邦无道，怀居离休可也。
The Zi said, "The postholder官员 who cherishes抱有 the love of comfort is not fit to be deemed视作 a postholder."

『143』子曰：「邦有道，危言危行；邦無道，危行言孫。」
　　　　※：“言孙”虽可免戴帽独善其身，然匹夫有责，一旦贼势炽，将愧对民和谷。故不可取也。君子杀身成仁，明哲保身不可取。
The Zi said, "When principle prevails盛行 in a state, upright language and actions . when without principle , upright actions and humble language."
