Miranda: ‘Inter a great team’

New Inter signing Joao Miranda says he’s joined a ‘great team’ and is expecting a good season.

The Brazilian underwent a medical this morning, ahead of a move from Atletico Madrid, which is all-but confirmed.

“I’m very happy to be at Inter,” Miranda told reporters as he left the clinic where he took the medical tests.

“I spoke to [Atleti Coach Diego] Simeone, he told me Inter are a great club. I wanted a new challenge, Inter are a great team, and also a big challenge for me.

“Will we have a great season? Yes, I think so.

“A Champions League-worthy Inter? Yes, it is.”
