Shaqiri: 'I like Schalke'

Xherdan Shaqiri likes Schalke 04 and returning to the Bundesliga “is an objective, but at the moment I’m still an Inter player.”

The Swiss international only arrived six months ago from Bayern Munich, but has not settled at San Siro and is on the transfer market.

After the Nerazzurri played Bayern in the International Champions Cup in Shanghai, Shaqiri spoke to Sport1 about his potential move to Schalke.

“They are an important club and have great ambition on the international stage too. However, at the moment I’m still an Inter player and have a very long contract here.

“I can’t say much for now, but I would like to return to the Bundesliga. That is an objective of mine.”
