Jovetic: 'Inter? Scudetto, of course'
By Football Italia staff
Stevan Jovetic believes Inter should aim for the Scudetto, and says 'What angers me the most? When people say I'm broken'.
The 25-year-old enjoyed the top of the standings until the crushing defeat against Fiorentina and a draw against Sampdoria stripped them of that privilege.
While preparing for the match against Juventus, Jovetic spoke with Tuttosport and highlighted the pressure of competing for the Scudetto.
“When I was in Florence I fought for the fourth place, in Manchester for the title,” he said. “That's something else, because you have to keep winning all the time.
“It's the same at Inter and I hope it ends like it did in my first year at City, when we won the championship and the cup.
“My dream? The Scudetto obviously. Right now we have a team worth a spot in the Champions League, but we'll see what we can do.
“Juve will return, they are strong and there are many games to be played. They can still come back.
“My idol? [Andriy] Shevchenko. He won the Champions League and the Ballon d'Or, while I'm still very young. My dream would be to do as well as he did, but in Inter's colours.
“Nothing angers me like hearing that I am broken. It's not nice to hear things about you that aren't true.
“People talk and talk. When you lose and even when you win there will always be people who say you didn't play well.
“As long as the points come in, the others can talk as much as they want.
“At Inter there's pressure, but I'm used to that. There was less pressure at City. Supporters there are much more chilled and they're happy as long as you're giving 100 per cent on the pitch, even if you don't win.”
