Thohir: ‘Inter buys possible’
By Football Italia staff
Inter President Erick Thohir says they have ‘an ample squad’ but ‘it’s possible we’ll make some good buys in the market.’
The Nerazzurri have been heavily linked with PSG’s Ezequiel Lavezzi, but their room for manoeuvre in the market is limited due to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules.
However, Thohir suggested that there could be some activity at San Siro this month, with players going in both directions.
“We already have an ample squad at Inter, with many elements, given that we’re only playing in the league,” he told FCInterNews.
“Which part should I strengthen? In attack we already have six players, if I added one then how would we play?
“It’s possible that we’ll make some good buys in this market, especially if two or three players choose to leave because it’s clear that no one wants to be a reserve.
“However, there’s always Financial Fair Play to respect.”
