Thohir threatens ritiro
By Football Italia staff
Inter President Erick Thohir has reportedly said the team will go 'in ritiro' if he doesn’t see a reaction against Juventus tomorrow.
The Nerazzurri were comfortably beaten 2-0 by the league leaders on Sunday evening and the two teams face off again on Thursday in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final.
Tuttosport reports that Thohir held a meeting through satellite link from Jakarta yesterday in which he told the club directors of his disappointment.
The Indonesian expects to see a reaction and will order an immediate 'ritiro' to a training camp ahead of Sunday’s game against Palermo if he doesn’t see the right attitude tomorrow.
Thohir has reportedly demanded four wins in the next five league games from Inter – against Palermo, Bologna, Torino and Frosinone – as well as a respectable performance against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on 19 March.
