Mancini: ‘Icardi can improve a lot’

Inter Coach Roberto Mancini says Mauro Icardi ‘can get a lot better’ and that ‘we can’t sell Ivan Perisic’.
The Nerazzurri boss was speaking ahead of tomorrow’s Serie A clash with Genoa as his team target a late dash for third place.
“I played with [Pietro] Vierchowod and even at 35 he continued to improve,” Mancio said at today’s Press conference.
“Mauro is 23 and with commitment and concentration he could get a lot better.
“He’s doing that, every day he takes a step forward like anyone who is serious about their work. He’s always scored goals and will continue to because it’s his best quality.
“We’ll see with the line-up, we have some physical problems. We’ll have a look today and then tomorrow morning. Tomorrow’s game will be difficult, Genoa are an aggressive team that runs a lot.
“Icardi and Biabiany have some knocks. We’ll evaluate them today.
“Eder hasn’t played the last few games. I think he’s a great player, he’s played well when called upon. It’s really strange that he hasn’t scored yet despite the fantastic performances.
“He must be calm, we have faith in him and we signed him also for the future.
“Perisic? We signed him, he’s settled in and understood Italian football, and we can’t sell him now.”
