OFFICIAL: Inter sign Caner

Inter have announced the free-transfer signing of Turkey left-back Caner Erkin from Fenerbahce on a three-year contract.

Caner [pictured, right] has long been linked with Inter, Roberto Mancini having become a fan of the former CSKA Moscow man during his spell as Galatasaray boss, and he will now spend the next three seasons at the Giuseppe Meazza.

“Caner Erkin is a new Inter player,” read a statement on Inter’s official website.

“The Turkish defender, whose contract with Fenerbahce is expiring, will join Inter on a three-year contract as of July 1, 2016.”

The 27-year-old, who will represent his country at Euro 2016 and reportedly turned down Liverpool in favour of the Milan giants, has been tipped to replace Yuto Nagatomo.
