Spurs rebuffed for Icardi and Sanabria

Tottenham Hotspur offers for both Inter striker Mauro Icardi – wanted also by Atletico Madrid – and Roma’s Antonio Sanabria are rejected.
The Premier League side seem eager to bolster their attacking options with talent from Serie A, having found success with Erik Lamela.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, Spurs saw their 45m proposal for Icardi turned down, as the club has no intention of selling their top scorer.
If the Argentine were to move on, it would most likely be to Atletico Madrid, as Diego Simeone has been tracking him for some considerable time.
The Corriere also suggests that Atleti are taking a roundabout approach to Icardi by contacting his wife – and part-time agent – Wanda Nara.
Atletico Madrid’s proposal is currently at 35m plus 3.5m bonuses.
Sky Sport Italia report that Tottenham saw another Serie A swoop fail, as their offer for Roma-owned striker Sanabria was turned down.
He spent the last season on loan at Sporting Gijon, scoring 11 goals in 29 Liga games.
‘Tonny’ Sanabria only turned 20 in March, but is already a full Paraguay international.
