Inter in pole for Gabriel Jesus
By Football Italia staff
Inter apparently have Gabriel Jesus' approval to join them in 2017, after remaining at Palmeiras another half-season.
The 19-year-old is a prospective talent who already enjoys the interest of a long list of top clubs, but signing him is a difficult operation, not least because his ownership is split among four parties.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are currently in the lead following the player's meeting with Milanese agent Giovanni Branchini.
Branchini was able to discuss Inter's prospects for the future and offer a greater payment to Palmeiras than the 25m of the established buy-back clause, thanks not least to the injection of cash that will be brought in by Suning.
Furthermore, Inter are willing to offer the Brazilian club a special deal which would allow Jesus to remain with them until the end of the year 2016, at which point he'd move to Italy.
While there is still a long way to go to secure the deal, the player apparently finds the option desirable, and Inter's contacts with Palmeiras currently place them in pole for the Verdeoro.
