Candreva cuts wages for Inter
By Football Italia staff
It’s reported Antonio Candreva will give up 500,000 per season to force through his Inter move.
The Lazio midfielder is believed to be close to joining the Nerazzurri, as terms appear to have been agreed between the two clubs and he didn’t take his pre-season medical today.
A move to Napoli reportedly collapsed over a wage dispute, but Corriere dello Sport today claims that the exact opposite has happened in this case.
The newspaper reports that Candreva has waived the right to 500,000 per season in wages, in order to fee up funds to meet the Aquile’s asking price.
That means that the Italian international will earn 2.3m plus bonuses per season, rather than the expected 2.8m annually.
However, the reported sum is still an upgrade on the 1.8m Candreva earns from Lazio per season.
