Santos request Gabigol delay

Santos Coach Dorival Junior warns Inter and Juventus that Gabriel Barbosa should only be released in January.

“If the sale has to be done, then in order to limit the damage our strategy should be exactly the same as Palmeiras are doing with Gabriel Jesus,” said the tactician.

Palmeiras have struck a deal with Manchester City, though Gabriel Jesus will remain in Brazil until the end of 2016.

Santos hope for a similar agreement when it comes to Gabigol, as Inter and Juventus remain favourites for his signature.

However, Manchester United, Chelsea, Leicester City and Atletico Madrid are also interested in the   25m-rated forward.
