Mourinho blocks Darmian to Inter?

Matteo Darmian is reportedly open to joining Inter, but Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho won’t allow it.

The Nerazzurri are known to be interested in the full-back, who will turn 27 in January and can play on either flank and even in the centre of defence.

According to calciomercato.com, the player’s entourage have made it clear he’d be open to a move to San Siro in January.

Inter are thought to be offering a loan with an option to buy for   13-  15m, which could become mandatory after a certain number of appearances.

However, the Red Devils are still asking for   20-  22m for the defender, and more importantly the deal is being blocked by Jose Mourinho.

The former Nerazzurri Coach doesn’t want to leave the squad short of cover at full-back, despite having afforded limited space to the former Torino defender this term.

In addition, Antonio Valencia will be out for around six weeks with a broken arm, giving Darmian the chance to stake his claim at right-back.
