Banega exit rumours intensify
By Football Italia staff
Reports are increasing that Inter midfielder Ever Banega will leave the club in January, despite having only arrived this summer.
The Argentinian has already been linked with a move to Everton, and Gazzetta dello Sport report that Nerazzurri boss Stefano Pioli prefers a midfield lineup of Joao Mario and Marcelo Brozovic.
With the club needing to balance the books in order to comply with Financial Fair Play rules this summer, a fee of around 10m could go a long way to reducing the 25-30m deficit.
Banega has been heavily criticised by the Italian Press for his performances in an Inter shirt, and rumours gathered pace when he was absent from a team dinner with sponsors on Monday night.
The former Sevilla man has been a controversial figure in the past, but his absence was attributed by the club to ‘family reasons’.
