Southampton in for Ranocchia

Southampton are the latest Premier League club to ask Inter for Andrea Ranocchia after West Ham, Tottenham, Hull City and Swansea.

The centre-back is looking for a move abroad after realising he is not part of Coach Stefano Pioli’s plans.

There have been reports in the Daily Mirror that Hull City and Swansea City are interested in the 28-year-old.

That was in addition to long-standing rumours of Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United approaches.

Now Mediaset Premium insist Southampton have joined the race for Ranocchia.

The Saints already have representatives working in Italy for Napoli striker Manolo Gabbiadini, with the latest offer being   16m plus   4m bonuses.

Inter are looking for a   6m price-tag when it comes to Italy international defender Ranocchia.
