Inter fight Man Utd for Lindelof
By Football Italia staff
Inter are prepared to challenge Manchester United for Benfica and Sweden defender Victor Lindelof, but his release clause is 60m.
The 22-year-old has long been on the radar for the two clubs, but only recently penned an extension in Portugal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are not letting that detail or the competition from Jose Mourinho’s United dissuade them.
Lindelof is a valuable commodity for any team, as he can play at centre-back, right-back or even in midfield.
Suning chief Zhang Jindong is flying in this weekend to discuss transfer strategy with directors Piero Ausilio and Giovanni Gardini.
The main target is Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij, but Lindelof would be an ideal alternative, albeit a very expensive one.
