Moratti: Italy Was Against Us But We Deserve It
Inter president Massimo Moratti was delighted after his side's 2-0 win at
Parma- a result which gives the club its third consecutive Scudetto.
A brace by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the second half was enough to seal the
Tricolore for Moratti's side. It was a tense affair and at half time it was
Roma who had their hands on the Scudetto. But Supersub Ibrahimovic marked his
return from injury in style as he blasted the Nerazzurri to glory leaving
Moratti delighted.
"We have suffered for this Scudetto but it's more than deserved," Moratti
told La Repubblica
"I am extremley delighted because we won the Scudetto even though the whole
of Italy was against us.
"Having the fans against us makes us even more proud to have won.
"The team has been formidable and Mancini gave the players the reassurance to
go out there and win it.
"I will only say a few words to my players as for now everything is just
emotion."
The chief also reassured the club that his coach, Roberto Mancini, would stay
on as coach despite rumours linking him with a move to Chelsea.
"Mancini will stay, nobody should worry about that," concluded the chief.
Inter will now head back to Milan where the Scudetto party is set to continue
well into the night. The Italian football federation has also confirmed that
the Nerazzurri will be presented with the Serie A trophy at 22:00CET in San
Siro.
