SunSport can reveal Jose Mourinho has instructed his new club to splash out for Frank Lampard, Ricardo Carvalho and Didier Drogba.
The ex-Blues boss will be confirmed as Inter manager in the next 48 hours after the Italian champs axed Roberto Mancini.
And he has already handed a transfer dossier to the Serie A club’s president Massimo Moratti.
Mourinho knows the players’ contract details from his time at Chelsea and Inter’s cash bid reflects that — plus the ages of the trio.
Each of them will be 30 by the start of next season, with Lamps the highest earner on £125,000 a week. Inter value Drogba at £21.5m, Carvalho at £7m and Lampard at £6.5m.
Lamps has 12 months left on his deal and the midfielder’s market price is based on the final year of his salary.
Carvalho shares the same agent as Mourinho — Jorge Mendes — and is referred to by the Portuguese coach as ‘his son’.
Moratti has promised Mourinho he is willing to spend £60m in the transfer market this summer.
Inter are trying to thrash out a compensation deal with Mancini before naming their new boss.
Mancini met Blues owner Roman Abramovich three years ago.
But his agent insists he has never talked to Chelsea about replacing Avram Grant as boss.
The Blues have been linked with ‘Big Phil’ Scolari, Mark Hughes, Frank Rijkaard and Guus Hiddink — to name but a few.
Michael Laudrup was in the frame but he is in talks with CSKA Moscow and Galatasaray.
