Inter midfielder Luis Figo admits that he has already been informed of Jose Mourinho’s arrival at the club and he is delighted.
The former Real Madrid winger cannot wait to start working under Mourinho’s guidance and he has revealed that the former Chelsea coach is definitely coming. It’s not a matter of if but when according to Figo.
“Everyone knows that Mourinho has already been appointed, I have already been told by the club,” Figo told ‘O Jogo’.
“He can easily win the Champions League with this side but I have not spoken to him just yet.”
Figo also hopes he gets more playing time under Mourinho as he was a second string player in Roberto Mancini's squad.
“I was in a situation where I had no choice but when a new coach comes in then you begin to hope of being used more on the pitch,” said the winger.
“I don’t know where I will be playing next year but I hope it’s for Inter and I would like to stay here for as long as possible.”
Mancini was officially sacked on Thursday evening after meeting with Inter president Massimo Moratti. Just 24 hours later, the Nerazzurri chief was seen dining with Mourinho in Paris.
