Spalletti: Scudetto Is Out Of Our Hands
Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admits that there is nothing more his side can
do in order to win the Scudetto.
The Giallorossi head into their final game of the season against Catania just
a point behind Inter. Roberto Mancini's side play Parma and, in order for
Roma to win the Tricolore, the Ducali would need to hold Inter and
Spalletti's side must ensure they emerge victorious against the Sicilian side.
It's looking unlikely but we have already seen that the Nerazzurri are
vulnerable when playing against the weaker sides.
And although there is still hope in Rome, Spalletti admits that Scudetto
glory is out of their hands.
"Inter have the Scudetto at their disposal where as we just have another
victory at ours," said Spalletti.
"It doesn't depend on us but on others. We are many steps away from the
Scudetto where as Inter are just one step away from glory.
"All they (Inter) need to do is win against Parma and they will claim the
Championship.
"Where as a victory for us in Catania will only mean another win, just
another small thing to add to our extraordinary campaign."
Roma have been magnificent all season and they have proved it by taking the
Inter and the Scudetto race down to the wire. Of course, it's not over just
yet and many a Roma fan will be hoping for a miracle but even the most
passionate tifoso will admit that it's too little too late.
