PARMA - An emotional Dejan Stankovic commented on what has been a long and hard season for the Italian champions after their Scudetto triumph at Parma.

"It was hard, but we're the strongest because we have been on top of the table for two years running," the Serbian midfielder told Sky Italia.

"And it's even nicer to win like this, on the last day of the season, and show we're the strongest against a team that imposed its game.

"Compliments to Roma. They played entertaining football and played well, but it's no coincidence that we have won for two years running. We deserved it.

"Compliments also to a fantastic Ibrahimovic, who showed once again what a phenomenon he is after two months without playing or training.

"It was wonderful to win a Scudetto on the final day of the season on a pitch that was almost unplayable due to the rain. This shows everyone that we are the strongest.

"Pama fought until the end. Compliments to our opponents and to all my team-mates for this great and hard season."
