Player Ratings: Parma 0-2 Inter
Inter overcame any nerves to hold onto first place and seal the scudetto on
the final day thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Goal.com analyses the individual
performances...
Parma
Pavarini: 6.5 - Fairly solid in goal; could do little to stop the two that
went past him.
Coly: 7.5 - Perhaps Parma's best player. Battled well and defended his flank
all afternoon.
Paci: 7 - Also did very well making several clearances whenever Inter put the
ball into the box.
Couto: 5 - Had a good game, up until Ibra got the better of him to net his
first, and was left alone on the far post to grab his second.
Castellini: 7 - Had a job on his hands to keep Maicon, Zanetti and Balotelli
quiet as they took turned to power down the right flank, but to his credit,
he did not have a bad game, generally giving as good as he got.
Morrone: 7 - A battling display in midfield. Full of energy, Morrone worked
well from box-to-box and kept Inter busy. Cynics will say he should have
scored in the first half, but it was always a difficult chance.
Cigarini: 6 - Had a decent game, putting together some trademark passes, but
generally was limited to short stints of passing, as his side were hitting on
the break.
Gasbarroni: 7 - He can be pleased with his showing, though obviously not the
outcome, as his passing and movement was good for much of the game.
Parravicini: 6 - Did not impact on the game as he would have hoped in a more
offensive capacity.
Reginaldo: 6 - Caused a few problems with his dribbling, but never really saw
enough of the ball to make a mark on the game.
Budan: 5 - Isolated. When on the ball, he rarely managed to do anything of
note.

Inter
Julio Cesar: 7.5 - As solid as ever. Morrone called him into action with his
only serious stop in the first half, which he did well to keep out.
Maicon: 8.5 - A roving performance down the right hand side. Unbeatable in
defence and an invaluable outlet in attack as well. A great cross to assist
Ibra for his second goal.
Rivas: 7 - Tough in the challenge and always prepared to put his body on the
line. Just what an occasion like this called for, and he can be pleased with
his performance.
Materazzi: 6 - A little sloppy in the challenge at time and some unnecessary
theatrics to boot.
Maxwell: 7 - As usual, went about his job efficiently in left back and was
only beaten once by his man all game. A good showing.
Zanetti: 7 - Didn't provide the burst of energy he is usually associated
with, but put in a solid shift in midfield.
Vieira: 7.5 - A fairly commanding display in midfield. Worked well from
box-to-box and never let Parma impose themselves on the game for an extended
period.
Stankovic: 6 - A modest performance, but he did not extend himself. Was tidy
in possession.
Cesar: 6.5 - Wasn't in the game as much as he would have liked, but made a
tidy contribution and whipped in some good crosses. Substituted for
Ibrahimovic at the beginning of the second half, in a bold move by Mancini.
Cruz: 5 - Failed to get involved in the game as much as he would have liked.
Spearheading the attack, he was found wanting, which was made all the more
apparent when Ibra took the field and Cruz more or less disappeared.
Balotelli: 7.5 - Always full of ideas and energy. Proved a great outlet down
the right hand side - not his favoured position, and was full of good ideas.
Only his set-pieces - which are usually good - hindered what was otherwise a
great performance
Substitutes
Ibrahimovic: 9 - Came off the bench and immediately galvanised all his
team-mates. He brought urgency into the play and scored two brilliantly taken
goals. Though he only played 40 minutes, he was Man of the Match, and proved
to all doubters what a world class act he is.
