PARMA - In his 50th appearance of the season, Javier Zanetti captained the Nerazzurri to their 16th league title at the Stadio Tardini.

"It was a great joy, an incredible and indescribable situation," the Argentine told Inter Channel. "We're are very happy to have won this Scudetto that we really deserve. We led for practically the whole season.

"We pay our compliments to Roma for a great season. But it was shameful to hear that fans at the other grounds celebrated when our opponents scored.

"Today we will take everything that we deserve and we will go to celebrate in the right city - Milan, with all our fans. We can't wait to embrace them at the stadium."
