Looking for talented Software Development Engineer - Interns
We are looking for full-time college students who are able to continuously work in Amazon AT LEAST 3 months AND at least 4 days per week. Longer term participants welcome! International candidates may need to participate in longer term program.
Basic / Required Qualification
1. Senior in college; or currently enrolled in a postgraduate or PhD program and will graduate in 2013 or 2014
2. Pass the examination of CET-6
3. Self-driven, quick starters, passionate problem solvers with curious mind who love solving very complex, very challenging real world problems
4. Strong coding skills (e.g Java, C/C++ and/or other languages such as Perl, Ruby, Python)
5. Solid fundamentals in Data Structure & Algorithm
6. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design
7. Excited with opportunities to solve very complex problems and willingness to learn
8. Ability to think abstractly & deal with ambiguous problems
9. Willing to own all stages of development process: requirements, design, implementation, testing, and operational support
10. Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
11. Excellent interpersonal communication with strong reading / written English skills
Preferred Qualification
1. Major in Computer Science, engineering (Computer, Aerospace, Electric, Automation… etc), and / or other technical and science degree (Math, Physics,… etc)
2. Experience with UNIX/Linux environment
3. Have technical internship experience
Pluses / Additional Goodies
1. Strong verbal English skills
2. Experience with relational database
3. Experience with distributed systems
4. Experience in optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization)
5. Experience in developing mobile application based Android Mobile Phone
6. Currently pursuing advanced graduate degrees
