微软亚洲研究院是微软公司在美国本土之外最大的基础科研机构，被美国著名技术杂志M
IT 《Technology Review》誉为“世界上最火的计算机实验室”。 自1998年成立以来，
启动了面向亚太区高校博士生、硕士生和优秀本科生的“明日之星”实习生项目。该项目
由微软亚洲研究院和国内外高校共同执行，旨在培养高素质的计算机基础研究人才。实习
生进入微软亚洲研究院后深入到每个研究小组进行为期三个月或更长时间的实习。截止至
2011年9月，已有4000名来自亚太区高校的学生到微软亚洲研究院实习，平均每年有400个
实习机会开放给所有的学生。

Group Overview
Researchers of Machine Learning Group are turning their ideas into reality in
areas such as data mining, machine learning, user modeling and text understa
nding. Projects pushing the state-of-the-art forward include information retr
ieval, online advertising and mobile computing systems.
Roles & Responsibilities
Combine your passion for research and coding. Join Machine Learning group as
a research intern. This internship will be fun for students who love artific
ial intelligence. As an intern, you will have opportunity to:
o Study cutting edge technologies of mobile computing products/services
which are released to markets and also powered by machine intelligence;
o Innovate wow ideas and technologies to impact people’s daily work an
d life;
o Put your thoughts into research prototype and try it on clients like
Windows phone, Windows 8 device or even others
You will collaborate with a team consisting of researchers, designers and res
earch software development engineers. The team will focus on opportunities t
o make breakthrough. You need great passion towards using machine intelligen
ce to assistant human being.
Required Qualifications:
o Students of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering or any relate
d technical field;
o Good programing skills;
o Excellent problem solving capability;
o Good reading, written, and oral English;
o Good communication skills and excellent teamwork;
o Can commit at least 6 months internship, can get your advisor’s appr
oval.
