Description

The individual will provide pre-sales and post-sales support to the sales teams in China RBU and conduct the research analytics projects, focusing on but not limited to Scholarly & Scientific Research solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
o Participates in pre-sales calls, delivers customized presentations (in person or via Web), and contributes to written proposals.
o Communicates with customers both in person and over the phone to provide best-practice consulting support to existing products / services and gain a strong understanding of their business and how business products / services can add value.
o Provide sales support of customized solutions to the sales team, including presenting the value of customized solutions, identifying customer needs, working with global team or local team to deliver the customized datasets/solutions.
o Project delivery - Provides specialized consulting activities in the delivery of projects, including customer requirements gathering and analysis, design of solutions architectures, report writing, and quality assurance.
o Visit important customers upon request to assist sales to deliver the value of TR solutions, in particular customized solutions related to Scholarly & Scientific Research.
o Develop local presentations of product solutions that align with global messages. Introduce and present the presentations to the related sales team and help the sales team to understand the key messages and be prepared to deliver them to the customers.
o Keep update of Thomson Reuters solutions. Prepare and coordinate the necessary documents for distribution to the customers, the sales team and other function teams.
Qualifications
o Master degree or PhD in scientometrics or in science related areas.
o Knowledge of scholarly communication and intellectual property.
o Knowledge of needs of researchers/scientists in both corporate and academic environments.
o Strong analytical skills, ability to translate business processes into functional requirements and to design feasible solutions architectures.
o Excellent presentation skills.
o Strong project management skills in planning and coordination for timely delivery.
o Effective verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers.
o Fluency in written and spoken Chinese and English.
o Highly motivated, service-oriented and energetic.
