Organization Profile
The American Chamber of Commerce in the People's Republic of China (AmCham China) is a non-profit organization which represents US companies and individuals doing business in China.
AmCham China's membership comprises more than 2,600 individuals from over 1,200 companies.
It has more than 40 industry- and issue-specific forums and committees, offers unique services such as the Business Visa Program, holds a wide range of networking and informational events, and meets with US and Chinese officials to discuss challenges and opportunities facing US firms doing business in China.
The Chamber's mission is to help American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services.
Requirements
o Native Chinese speaker, High level of English
o Major in marketing, media, journalism, communications, public relations or other relevant fields
o Highly responsible, detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage time
o Good communication skills
o Media experience a plus
o Expertise of social media a plus
Job Description
Interns should be current college students, current graduate students or recent graduates.
Communications Interns will:
o Participate in developing and driving key messages in targeted media.
o Assist with interview requests, press release distribution and press conference coordination, as well as monitoring coverage of the chamber.
o Assist with the Chamber’s social media and Chinese website editing.
o Support Communications Department staff on projects as needed, including translation, editing, and logistics.
