Purpose:Responsible for supporting field test engineering activities on a day to day basis, analysing test results and delivering timely reports.
Key Accountabilities:o Responsible for the day to day running of field trials and supporting the field test engineers
o Apply engineering skills and knowledge to support the field trial activities
o Locate and establish relationship with test sites to match testing needs identified by the engineers
o Preserve good relationships with fleets, suppliers and all stakeholders
o Maintain the Field Test Management database with all relevant data
o Coordinate the collection and analysis of used oil samples & operational data and resolving problems with data as it occurs
o Leverage trends in data to shape solutions and generate ideas
o Suggest and implement improvement actions with a proactive and creative approach
o Purchasing vehicle parts and test equipment required to run field trials
o Developing fleet documentation required to start and run field trials
o Provide regular updates to engineers on field trial progress and identify hurdles and issues
o Responsible for test report preparation and inspection process coordination
Required Skills / Knowledge / Expertise:o Diploma or Bachelor in Automotive or Mechanical engineering preferred
o Min 2 years of experience, hands on experience preferred
o General knowledge of automotive technology and the OEM’s
o Be able to conduct data analysis and provide conclusions on field testing
o Provide clear, concise and timely reports reviewing the pertinent details, status and results of test activities
o Effectively communicate (written and verbal) with colleagues, internal/external customers and test site personnel
o Good personal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of field test personnel, some basic level of English preferred
o High computer skills, Excel/Microsoft Word/PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
