SW Intern:The responsibility:
1. Provide support for ILS3 development test floor setup and maintenance.
2. Attend ILS3 driver unit test, review test cases, make test scripts to enhance the test coverage and improve test quality.
3. Attend ATN R4 SW unit test, review test cases, support TOM verification and fiber channel traffic test for 2.5 GMT.
4. Study and track SW bugs mentored by the senior engineers.
Requirement:
1. Self-motivated and must be an active team-player.
2. Master degree with CS/EE.
3. Be familiar with Linux/Shell/C, basic idea for embedded SW development.
4. Guarantee 3~5 working days per week for 6 months.
光实习生
主要职责：
光通讯开发实习工程师是光网络系统开发团队的重要一员，将协助工程师完成各种通讯卡，光放大器，光滤波器，光开关的相关测试工作，还要在主管的指导下，进行光测试测试设备和系统的维护，包括各种仪器，光纤，跳线和适配器，及其他的维护工作。
－ 理解光板卡或者模块的基本原理和测试方法
－ 及时完成指定的工作
－ 具有适用的关于光有源器件和无源器件的知识，包括OSNR，串扰，插入损耗，噪声系数，增益平坦及其他
－ 与其他硬件和软件的员工合作，完成相关工作

Role Responsibility Summary:
The optical development intern for optical system development will be responsible for being a important participant in Optical design team for the identified transport products. As an important member of the development team, the individual will assist engineers to complete some tests for the assigned modules including various line cards, EDFAs, and optical filters, protection switching mechanisms and related functions. Maintain the optical instruments, fibers, jumps and adapters, as well other lab maintaining works.
- Understand basic optical card or module concept and test methodology
- Complete assigned tasks on time
- Having workable knowledge with optical passive or active components, including OSNR, cross-talk, insertion loss, EDFA noise figure, gain flatness and related parameters
- Interfaces and works directly or indirectly with other hardware and software team members and other functional groups in the metro access engineering team
The following requirements are expected for applicable candidates
- Ms(second or third year) or BS(fourth year)) in Electrical Engineering(major in optoelectronics), Optical Engineering , optical communication, Applied Physics or related majors
- Experience with optical testing equipment, such as power meter, optical spectrum analyzer, tunable laser, tunable filter, or BER tester for SONET and Ethernet
- Programming skill using vb.net or Labview is desired
- Being able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Basic skills in reading, writing English, English level four is requested.
- Good people skill, good at coordinating work among peers and interfacing with other functional groups.
