We are currently seeking a Software development intern for our Risk Applications & Infrastructure team in Beijing.
Position Overview:
The RAI team provides basic core services for our financial products, such as software architecture, storage solution, search service, portfolio management and so on. As a key member of this team, the candidate will work closely with the development teams based in Oklahoma, Ann Arbor, and New York City and use cutting-edge technologies to provide solid reliable service to our clients. The team has a strong innovation technical atmosphere and has lots of opportunities to learn from other staffs, even in different disciplines. Students working toward CS, EE, MIS degrees who are interested in gaining experience in a corporate setting and who are interested in software development as a career are encouraged to apply. We consider the internship as an important source of our regular full-time positions.
Responsibilities:
? Development of an ETL-based data processing system
? Develop and maintain the new UI of ETL system with new feature requests and bug fixes
? Aid other developers in a variety of data projects based on given specifications
? Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
? Currently pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
? Good programming skills in Java
? Solid understanding and programming experiences of relational databases (e.g. Oracle and SQL Server)
? Good communication skills in English
? Self-motivated and be able to work independently
? Fast learner and interest in challenging projects
Preferable Skills:
? Familiar with Ruby
? Web related technology, such as JavaEE, Javascript, ExtJS, XML
? Relational database development, particularly using Oracle and SQL Server
? Script programming, e.g. Bash Shell and Python
? Experience in version control using SVN
