The InvestmentBanking Division TMT Group is looking for Analyst to be based in Beijing orHong Kong.
Within Goldman, Sachs & Co., the Investment Banking Division deliversexecution capabilities and provides expertise across products, industries, andregions. The Investment Banking division provides strategic advice and creativefinancing solutions to governments, corporations, institutions, andhigh-net-worth individuals in connection with their most importanttransactions. The Investment Banking division offers equity, leveraged finance,and debt products as well as financial restructuring and mergers andacquisitions advisory to a wide-spectrum of industries, including: FinancialInstitutions, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Healthcare, RealEstate, Industrial, Consumer and Natural Resources.
The Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) investment banking groupprovides corporate clients across the TMT spectrum with advice, access tofinancing and execution expertise across a wide range of investment bankingproducts.  Our Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group providesfinancing and advisory services to corporations, including the leading playersin the sectors we cover. Our group offers a wide range of products, includingM&A advisory, debt and equity financing, structured finance, riskmanagement/hedging and co-investing.  Given the dynamic and relevantnature of TMT as an industry, our group offers an exciting and fast-pacedenvironment with tremendous opportunity to contribute and grow.
Analysts at Goldman Sachs gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and expandedknowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical,communications, marketing and sales skills. Analysts create and analysefinancial models; performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effectsof client alternatives. In addition, Analysts organize and preparepresentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, andrecommend strategies to meet client goals. Analysts also participate in andconduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financialtransactions. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachsstructure client transactions, our Analysts are a vital part of Goldman Sachs’banking teams.
BasicQualifications
- MBA orBachelor’s degree in a financial discipline
- Minimum 1 year’s investment banking or equivalent experience
- History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
- Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively withteam members in multiple groups and regions
- Native Mandarin Chinese fluency
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous TMTsector experience preferred
