Stone Ridge is a global asset management firm founded in 2012 and
headquartered in New York, with over $5 Billion of investor capital under
management. It has additional associates in Beijing, Chicago, San Francisco,
and Boston.
Our Quantitative Research team in China continues to develop with new staff
and formalized training. The Beijing team is currently being managed by a
senior member of the firm who has extensive industry experience in the US.
We are currently recruiting qualified students for internship position of
quantitative research:
The Internship Opportunity:
- Opportunity to work directly on a real-time project for a front
office investment team
- Supervised directly by either senior quants, or by portfolio
managers
and interact with colleagues who have similar background and intellect.
- Opportunity to rotate to different investment strategies, upon
successfully completing the initial program
- First-hand experience with huge amount of commercial financial
data.
- Opportunity for full time offer

Ideal Candidates:
- Master or PHD candidates at top-tier universities in China
(graduating in 2017 and after)
- Strong foundation in mathematics, computer science and/or
scientific
computing
- Good understanding of SQL and database.
- Experience in programming languages such as
Matlab/C++/Perl/Python/…
- Communicate effectively in both Chinese and English
- Team oriented and outstanding work ethics.
- Highly interested in financial markets, though past experience in
finance is not a pre-requisite.
- Must be a self-starter and a quick learner, with extraordinary
attention to detail
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design
and computer architecture (should be optional or nice to have).
