Job Summary
The Red Hat Quality Engineering team is looking for an Quality Engineering Intern to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will work as part of a team in charge of testing our innovative technology in the Linux domain, focusing on entitlement and virtualization. We'll need you to have a passionate interest in software testing as you will test and improve components of our virtualization technologies alongside some of the brightest developers in the open source community.
Primary Job Responsibilities
o Work closely with peers to perform and improve manual and automation testing
o Create and maintain test plans and test cases, then review test cases with the team
o Work on test case automation
o Work on bug reporting and verification
o Work on documentation
o Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
o Background with Linux operating systems
o Experience administering virtualization hypervisors
o Ability to work under deadline pressure, quickly adapt to multiple tasks, and maintain high attention to detail
o Available to work 4+ days per week for 6+ months
o Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; multilingual skills are a plus
o Relevant software testing experience is a plus
o Involvement in the open source community and advanced knowledge of computer system architecture is a plus
