Group Overview
The goal of the Web Search & Mining Group of Microsoft Research Asia is to drive the next generation of Web search by leveraging data mining, machine learning, and knowledge discovery techniques for information analysis, organization, retrieval, and visualization.
Microsoft Research (MSR) Asia and MSN Search have partnered to create the exciting new Search Technology Center (STC) in Beijing, China. Launched in October of 2005, the center is dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in search technology and delivering a more intelligent and powerful search experience to MSN users around the world. The mission is to:
1. Deliver innovative Search products and services together with MSN/Live search
2. Accelerate innovations by seamlessly combining research and development in MSRA
3. Evolve Search platform into an Internet Service platform for the next generation of Internet research and development
Roles & Responsibility
Conduct research related to improving mobile search relevance
Required Qualifications
4. 2+ year experience in C++/C#
5. Long-term & full-time is preferred (Need your supervisor's approval)
Advanced Requirements:
1. Solid coding & programming skill and experience
2. Strong team spirit and passion on coding
3. Strong responsibility, perseverance and courage to face challenge
4. Research background in search engine or data mining is a plus
