- Role Summary/Purpose:Provide on site controls support for the CF34-10A
program
Essential Responsibilities:
·Support engine/aircraft control system integration tests, validating control system interface functions, and troubleshooting GE control system issues as required.
·Will coordinate the delivery and troubleshooting installation of CF34-10A real time engine models used in the customers on site engine/aircraft control system integration rigs. Will develop a high level of familiarization with the engine control functionality required for aircraft integration, and will support the customer and GE in validating these functions in the customers test environments and compliance flight aircraft.
·Working as a liason between GE CF34-10A Control System design engineers in the US and the ACAC ARJ21 aircraft design partners, will communicate control systems issues and problem reports between the US based Control Systems Program Leader,US based Control System Technical Project Leader, and aircraft propulsion system project managers so issues are visible and become promptly addressed.
·Perform engine control system software upgrade installations as required for system tests and airframe ground tests (GE will provide training).
·Will install adjustment files and verify that the adjustment files successfully installed as required.
·Will support coordination of controls related aircraft certification information required by the customer as required for aircraft certification test plans and reports.
·Will be responsible for managing on site GE control assets (FADEC engine controls, software installation electronics, specialty cables, software load disks, etc.), and will coordinate timely retrofits, repair, and requests for new equipment (such as cables for compliance flight test) as required.
·Attend joint GE/customer control system design reviews and key working meetings to stay current on the design issues and contribute to design solutions.
·Will be diligent in providing education, communication, and on site enforcement of US export licenses and export processes, especially related to this technical function in working with FADEC controlled technology.
·Travel between airframer sites (systems integration test facilities, flight test facilities) and travel to the US to receive engine controls training and meet the GE US based control system design team will be required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Bachelors degree or higher in Avonic / Electric / Electronic / Aeronautic Engineering.
· Experience in Commercial Turbofan Engine Control.
· Knowledge of FAR 25 & 33 and Cert Report process.
· Electric / Electronic Rig Test experiance
· Fluent in Mandarin and English.
· Highly motivated to direct work effort and drive closure.
· Team player with good customer skills.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and a broad range of Engineering disciplines.
