Q：参加IBM 2009蓝色之路实习项目能在毕业的时候被IBM录取成为正式员工吗？
对于品学兼优、表现突出的实习生，我们将在2009年下半年为其争取成为IBM正式员工的机会。
A：值得一提的是，2009蓝色之路将根据实习表现录用一批实习生成为IBM正式员工，如果有足够多的优秀实习生被录用，我们年底将不再另外进行校园招聘活动。
Q：据说IBM校园招聘的学生全都来自蓝色之路实习项目，是这样吗？
A：我们是在朝这个方向努力。但是，就目前来看，尽管有蓝色之路实习项目，但仍然无法满足研发部门及其他一些部门的用人需求。2008年，CSTL、CRL、CDL在10月份又另外进行了一次校园招聘。
Q：蓝色之路实习项目没有在我所在的大学举行校园活动，我可以申请吗？
A：当然可以！网上发布的职位对所有符合要求的申请人开放。
Q：我提交简历之后多久才能收到进一步的消息通知？
A：我们的招聘组在您提交简历之后会及时阅读您的简历并更新您在系统内的状态，请保持经常登陆您的账户查看您的状态。
Q：蓝色之路的实习职位分布在哪些城市？
A：主要分布在北京、上海和广州，在济南、沈阳、深圳、成都、武汉、南京、杭州、太原、西安等城市也有相当数量的职位分布。具体职位工作地点请查看网申系统中的职位描述。
Q：听说IBM对申请人的专业背景没有特别严格的要求，我可以申请和我教育专业背景不相关的职位吗？
A：我们在招聘过程中最看重的是申请人的个人能力和潜质。一些职位可能会比较偏向有技术背景的人。不过总体来看，我们对申请人的专业背景并没有非常严格的限制。但是，对于研发类的职位，会非常看重计算机等相关的专业背景。
Q：在我拿到IBM的实习录取通知之前大概会经过怎样的招聘流程？
A：大致可分为四步：
-在线申请
-笔试
-第一轮面试
-最后一轮面试（个人面试或者能力评估中心面试）
Q：申请人必须要进行笔试吗？
A：所有的申请人都必须参加IBM的职业能力倾向测试（笔试）。成绩优异者将会被筛选进入下一轮的面试。对于研发职位的申请人来说，除了要进行职业能力倾向测试，还要进行技术类笔试。
Q：不同职位的申请人要参加不同的职业能力倾向测试吗？
A：不论申请哪个职位，不论具有何种专业背景，所有的申请人将统一参加相同内容的职业能力倾向测试。我们相信职业能力倾向测试所考核的能力对任何一位未来的IBM员工来说都是最基础的要求。
对于研发职位（包括“青出于蓝”实习项目中CDL及他部门的技术类职位）的申请人来说，还必须参加一轮技术类笔试。
Q：IBM会进行怎样的面试？面试使用汉语还是英语？
A：IBM人力资源部门协同代理公司将负责进第一轮的面试，从第一轮面试中脱颖而出的申请人将面对我们的招聘经理，进行第二轮的面试。IBM将会采用行为描述式结构化面试方法，即我们将询问您以前与能力和技术相关的行为和经历，从而做出一个综合的判断。
Q：实习工作将从什么时间开始？
A：对于蓝色之路实习项目（非研发类职位），实习工作将从七月初开始，到九月初结束；对于青出于蓝实习项目的职位，请参阅青出于蓝项目介绍；对于研发职位，实习工作将按照项目的需求及申请者的个人时间安排开始或者结束。
Q：如果我是合适人选，什么时候能拿到IBM的实习Offer？
A：请查看网页上IBM实习招聘日程安排。我们将会二面（即招聘经理面试）之后，发出暑期实习Offer，整个Offer发放工作会在2009年六月份完成。
Q：我如何去了解更多IBM相关的信息呢？

Q：如果我在简历提交过程中遇到问题，我该怎么办？

Q：简历已处理是什么意思？
A：“已处理”状态表明你的简历已经被筛选过，同时，你也不可以再修改你的简历了。
Q：笔试面试地点的问题：笔试或面试的话，要在那里进行呢？
A：如果通过筛选，我们会就近安排。
Q：截止日，说是5月20日，那是不是只要在20日前就一视同仁？
A：一视同仁，不会改期。但强烈建议越早申请完越好，以免20日系统太紧张，谢谢！
Q：请问多久以后可以收到通知？
A：笔试前三天我们会通过邮件或者手机短信发笔试通知。
Q：什么学生可以申请？
A：我们2009年暑期实习生计划主要针对2010年即将毕业的本科、硕士、博士、MBA学生
Q：我是09年本科毕业的，保送/考上了研究生，暑期很想找个实习机会，请问可以吗？
A：我们只招收2010年毕业的学生，你可以在明年申请我的暑期实习计划。
Q：今年的范围还会扩大吗？你们筛选简历的时候对实习生所在城市这个因素的考虑占了多大的比例啊？
A：在满足业务部门发展的前提下，我们逐年在扩大招聘范围。我们去年成功的在IBM20多个office找到合适的人才，今年也会继续。实习生所在城市和目标城市没有过大关系，当然，为了节省同学们的成本，并本着发展本地人才的信念，我们更建议大家多选择目前所在城市申请。
Q：我本科是学机械的，硕士去学设计艺术学（工业设计),不知道我的专业有没有适合的岗位呢？2010年毕业。
A：对于专业，我们没有专业限制，任何专业同学都可申请。请看我们网站上的职位介绍。
Q：由于本人非北京或上海学生，请问在这两个城市实习，公司有没有提供住宿？
A：目前为止，作为实习生，公司还无法提供住宿。但我们相信，实习的工资大体应该可以满足学生住宿和生活费用，谢谢！
Q：不是在广州的...实习要面试的吗?在广州有的面还是要到实习公司去面?
A：根据你申请的职位的地点不同我们会安排面试，必要时候可以电话面试，或者到应聘城市面试。
Q：通知笔试和面试会以什么形式通知？
A：通知信会以邮件和短信的形式通知大家，请大家及时通过邮件确认信息。
Q：已经毕业的学生可以申请吗？
A：如前所述，IBM蓝色之路实习项目只招收2010年应届毕业生。对于已经毕业的同学，可以申请IBM公司的其他项目。
Q：导师推荐信怎么上传啊？如果用word格式贴在简历后面，那导师没法签字啊！除非把导师签过字的推荐信扫描下来再上传。到底该怎样弄？
A：简历后面有推荐人，请在推荐人处填写你导师的名字及联系方式即可。签字的推荐信不是必需的，请大家不用担心。
Q：IBM规定实习时间是7-9月，我也看到说会根据实习生在实习期间的表现决定年底发出正式的offer，好像时间接不上，如果到9月就实习结束了，还能在ibm等到年底给offer吗？
A：实习阶段结束以后我们会需要一段时间对大家的工作进行系统的考核，这个时间段大家也会在学校继续读完剩下的课程。
Q：关于英文水平的要求
A：只要您投递了简历，我们就会进行阅览和筛选；但是，在IBM的日常工作中，英文的运用占有很大的比重。
Q：对Blue Pathway 和Extreme Blue 都有感兴趣的职位，可以两边都申请吗？
A：可以同时申请，总数不超过5个，不是各5个。
Q：我在海外留学，是否可以从中国以外的国家申请？
A：是的。我们欢迎符合招聘条件的海外在校学生应聘蓝色之路实习生项目。海外申请者的申请和筛选程序与国内校园应聘程序相同，请登陆我们的招聘网站投递简历。我们会通过邮件通知你申请程序的下一步。考试和第一轮面试可以远程进行，但是申请者必须回到中国参加最后一轮面试。
Q：Will I get IBM permanent job offer if I join IBM 2009 Blue Pathway internship program?
For students who maintain an excellent academic record and a positive work performance with IBM during internship, we will seek to make permanent job offers to them later in 2009.
A：Particularly, certain amount of 2009 Blue Pathway interns will be offered upon internship qualification; and more importantly, if we have enough high-performance interns to offer, we will NOT conduct another round of campus recruitment at the end of the year 2009.
Q：There is a saying that IBM campus hire all comes from Blue Pathway Program, is that true?
A：We are moving toward that aim, however, right now, Blue Pathway Interns still can not meets all the hiring requests from R&D and some other BUs. In 2008, CSTL, CRL, CDL did another round of campus recruitment in October.
Q：Can I apply for those positions which are not recruiting at my university?
A：Absolutely!! The postings on this web site are open to all eligible and qualified applicants.
Q：When will I receive a response after I submit my resume?
A：Our recruitment system will keep updating your status once you submit your resume online. Please come back to our website and log into your account regularly to check your status.
Q：Where are the jobs located?
A：The main locations are Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, and there are also a few opportunities in other cities, like Jinan, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Wuhan, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Taiyuan, Xi’an, etc. please help to check the job location in the Job Descriptions when you submit your applications.
Q：I have heard that IBM does not focus on the specific major requirements for the candidates. May I apply for the business unit which is not relevant to my education back ground?
A：Potential and personal capabilities are the most important factors to be considered when we are doing recruitment. Some of the functions might prefer some technical backgrounds; however, there are no strict criteria on the specialty. But for R&D positions, computer related background is highly recommended.
Q：How many steps before I can get the final internship offer from IBM China?
A：There are generally four steps:
On-line Application submission
Paper Test
1st Round Interview
Final Interview (Individual Interviews or Assessment Center)
Q：Are interns required to take a paper test?
A：All candidates are required to take an IBM Aptitude Test. Those who have satisfactory result will be short-listed to the next step for face to face interviews.
For R&D applicants, they need to take Technical Paper Test besides Aptitude Test.
Q：Will applicants take different aptitude test according to positions they apply for?
A：The same version of the aptitude test will be used for all applicants, no matter what positions they apply for and what background they have, as we believe the aptitude to be tested is fundamental to any prospective IBMer.
For R&D applicants (CDL opening and technical opening in Extreme Blue), an additional technical test is required.
Q：What kind of interviews will I receive? Will interviews be conducted in English or Chinese?
A：Human Resources Department and/or our vendor will conduct first round interviews for all applicants and shortlist candidates for hiring managers’ second round interviews. Qualified candidates will be invited to have face to face interviews with IBM hiring manager directly.
The interview methodology IBM uses is behavior-based structured interview. That means we will ask you questions about previous experiences you have had in terms of competencies and technical skills.
Q：When do the jobs start?
A：For Blue Pathway Internship Program (non-R&D positions):
The jobs generally start in early July and end in early September 2009;
For Extreme Blue Positions, please help to refer to Program introductions.
Q：For R&D positions:
A：The jobs will start and end anytime throughout 2009 depending upon project requirement and student’s availability.
Q：When will I get Offer?
A：You can refer to the IBM internship recruitment schedule. Once we finish the 2nd round interview conducted by IBM hiring managers, the offers will be issued within June 2009.
Q：How can I get more information about IBM?

Q：If I meet some problems while I submit my resume online, what can I do?

Q：What does it mean by “the resume has already been treated” ?
A：“been treated” means your resume has already been scanned, that is to say you can never modify your resume since you see that status.
Q：Where should we take the paper test and the face to fact interview?
A：If you can pass the screening, we will arrange the test and the interview nearby.
Q：The due date is May 20th, does that mean all candidates will be treated equally before that day?
A：We treat every candidate equally. But we suggest everyone to do the application as early as possible to alleviate the burden of online application system on May 20th.
Q：When will we get the notification for paper test ?
A：We will send paper test notice by email or short message 3 days before paper test.
Q：Who can apply the summer internship?
A：2009 summer intern target candidates are 2010 graduates including bachelors, masters, doctors and MBA.
Q：I will graduate and get my bachelor degree in 2009, then I will further my study in university for master degree. Can I apply for the IBM 2009 summer intern?
A：We only recruit students who will graduate in 2010. You can apply Blue Pathway one year before you will graduate.
Q：Will you enlarge recruitment locations? What’s your consideration about candidates’ location?
A：We will enlarge recruitment locations year by year to satisfy each BU’s developing need. Last year, we find suitable talents for 20 IBM offices all over China, we will keep on this year. There is no special relationship between your location and your target location. Of course, to reduce candidates’ cost and to develop local talents, we suggest appliers choosing the city where you stay now.
Q：I am a student who choose mechanics as bachelor’s major and set art as master’s major. Which position will match me most?
A：There are no strict criteria on the specific major requirements, we open for every major. Pls see more details on our online job description.
Q：I am a student who is not the student staying at Beijing or Shanghai, if I start my intern work in the two cities, will IBM provide accommodation for me?
A：IBM cannot provide accommodation for interns. However, the salary for intern can cover your daily expense.
Q：Should I come to Guangzhou branch to do the interview as I am not in Guangzhou?
A：We will arrange your interview site according to the location you choose. You will have phone interview if necessary or you may come to the city where your position is located.
Q：By what ways will IBM notify us for paper test and interviews?
A：By email or short message, pls do confirmation in time when you receive email notice.
Q：Can graduates apply?
A：IBM 2009 Blue Pathway only opens for students who will graduate in 2010. Ones who have already graduated, pls apply other IBM recruitment programs.
Q：How can I show my tutor’s(or other guys’) recommendation letter in the application system?
A：The recommendation letter is not necessary for the application process. Pls fill you tutor’s name and contact information in the blank “recommender”.
Q：The summer internship period is from July to September, and it is also said IBM may send campus recruitment offer to excellent summer interns, is there a vacancy between the end of summer internship and the final campus recruitment offer?
A：After summer internship, we need a period of time to do a systematic assessment of each one’s performance. Interns can use this time period to continue their courses in school.
Q：About English capability
A：In IBM, English will be used very frequently in daily work.
Q：I am interested in positions in both Blue Pathway and Extreme Blue, can I apply positions in both the two program?
A：Yes, you can. Pls keep in mind. All the positions in the two programs you can apply are up to five, not five each.
Q：I am studying abroad. Can I apply from outside of China?
A：Yes. We welcome qualified overseas candidates to apply to Blue Pathway Internship Program. The application and selection process is the same for overseas candidates. Please submit your resume through this website. You will receive an email notifying you of your next stage of application. Test and first round interview can be conducted virtually. But you must physically participate the final round interview in China.
