The Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET), a leading policy think-tank in the area of low-carbon economy in China, would like to hire an intern for the summer of 2009 to design and fill content in our website.  This opportunity will give the intern access to ideas and individuals related to the low carbon economy and climate change events both in China and overseas, and is an excellent opportunity for the students in the university.

The candidate will be a student at a major Beijing-based university, will have sufficient time during the summer months to undertake the task, and will have excellent Chinese and English language skills.  

This task will require the intern to be mature, outgoing and social, to speak with the employees and partners of iCET (both in China and abroad) to collect information about its work and programmes, and effectively prepare the results of his or her work to be posted on a website that is easy for iCET’s audience to understand and navigate. As a result, the intern must have a good understanding of organizational data collection and management, and of website construction and presentation.Excellent writing skills in Chinese and English will be preferred.

The intern will work directly with iCET’s management to document iCET’s past and present, and give iCET a platform to express itself as it moves forward in its important work on making policy suggestions for low carbon economy in China.
