Group Overview
The Media Computing group focuses its research efforts on data-centric media computing platforms that collect, find, aggregate, and understand media and related data to provide a new user media experience. It addresses problems in the cycle of media data collection, search, mining, and research; problems regarding how to enhance user media experience in content creation, editing, mash-up, sharing, recommendation, and data and privacy protection; and problems concerning how to monetize media assets. It also handles new media data types, such as informatics data for digital healthcare. The goal is to build an intelligent media computing platform that provides people with services and empowers them with knowledge.
Roles & Responsibilities

Required Qualifications:
1. MS/PHD candidates in Computer Science or any related technical field. Note that your advisor’s approval is required.
2. Good programming skills or have related project experience;
3. Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
4. Image segmentation and OCR related project experience will be a plus.
5. Research experience in network security will be a plus.
6. Familiar with web programming will be a plus.
